Philanthropy Takes All Forms

When most people hear the word philanthropy, they think of big checks, board rooms, and naming rights. But at its core, philanthropy is simply about giving — your time, your resources, your voice, your care — to help someone else.

Today, for me, that meant giving blood through the American Red Cross.

It was quick. It was simple. And it could help save a life.

As someone who works in the philanthropic space, I’m constantly reminded that generosity doesn’t have to be grand to be meaningful. Small, consistent acts of care — a donation, a kind word, a helping hand — add up to real impact.

And especially now, in a world that often feels uncertain or divided, these moments of giving remind us how deeply we all need connection — and how powerful it is when we show up for each other.

Philanthropy isn’t just something major donors do. It’s something we all can do.
